Reports to: Leadership team, working closely with the Technical Lead
We're looking for a Technical Product Manager to run day-to-day work across our React Native, Next.js, and our Python Backend. This is not a coding role. You won't write production code. You do need enough technical depth to understand what the engineers are building, judge effort and risk, and make good calls on priorities. You'll work alongside our Technical Lead: they set the technical direction, and you own resourcing, planning and execution.
What you’ll do
- Allocate people across the React Native, Next.js, Backend/Data/ML teams based on priorities and capacity.
- Turn business and product needs into clear, ready-to-build tasks with acceptance criteria.
- Track progress, spot blockers early, and keep delivery on schedule.
- Coordinate dependencies between teams, especially API contracts between the frontend and backend teams and handoffs from design to development.
- Own the mobile release process with the React Native team: versioning, release schedules, App Store and Play Store submissions, review timelines and release notes.
- Work with the Technical Lead on technical trade-offs, scope and sequencing.
- Report status, risks and timelines to leadership.

What we're looking for
- 7+ years in product management, technical project management or delivery management for software teams.
- Technical understanding (no coding required) of:
- React Native / Expo: the app lifecycle, builds, versioning, OTA updates, and the App Store and Google Play publishing and review process.
- Next.js: how modern web apps are structured and deployed, and the basics of rendering.
- Backend: APIs, databases, environments, and the basics of how data and ML features get built into a product.
- Proven experience managing multiple development teams at the same time.
- Strong experience with Agile/Scrum and tools like Linear, Jira or similar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong prioritisation and decision-making under competing demands.
Nice to have
- Past experience as a developer or QA engineer, even if you no longer code.
- Experience with products that include data or ML features.
- Experience in a fast-growing startup.
